In response to the growing need among overseas visitors in Japan to access the Internet on the go, JR East Japan is launching a free Wi-Fi Internet service from Monday, 1st October 2012.

Tourists can easily connect to the free Wi-Fi service at specially marked locations around 13 stations centered on the JR Yamanote Line, as well as JR East Travel Service Centers at Tokyo Station, Haneda Airport International Terminal and Narita Airport Terminals 1 and 2.

Registration is available in 4 languages: English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese and first-time users need only enter a valid email address to connect to the service. Once connected, the Internet can be used for up to 3 hours at a time and users can connect to the service as often as they like.

This fantastic free Wi-Fi service offered by JR East Japan will make it easier for overseas tourists in Japan to keep in touch with friends and family back home and also keep them updated on their Japan holiday via email, Skype and social media.
